The Cross = Faith
The Anchor = Hope
The Heart = Charity
St. Vincent de Paul, in the town of Chatillon les Dombes in France, founded the very first group of Ladies of Charity in 1617 when he saw a need for them to service a family in dire straits. From those roots, the organization has grown; woldwide. They are AIC, LCUSA, and local diocesan chapters. In the OPV Parish, there are 3 parish associations; St. Irenaeus, St. John the Baptist, and St. Joseph.
The LoC of Holy Family Parish serve by performing in many ministries. We oversee or participate in: food collections, visitions to the homebound/nursing homes, the annual All Souls Mass for the recently deceased, annual ceremony of Cemetary Sunday for the unclaimed dead, knitting/crocheting baby blankets for Baptism Ministry and prayer shawls, in self enrichment retreats, adorations, day of reflections, Angel Tree, etc.
By fulfilling the desire of St. Vincent, the LoC are members of a very unique family - the Vincentian Family.
