Pope Francis has called for the Universal Church to prayer and after a month of war in Ukraine will offer an Act of Consecration of humanity for Russia and Ukraine to the Blessed Virgin Mary on this Friday's Solemn Feast of the Annunciation. "In response to numerous requests by the People of God, I wish in a special way to entrust the nations at war to the Blessed Virgin Mary. As I announced yesterday at the conclusion of the Angelus prayer, on 25 March, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, I intend to carry out a solemn Act of Consecration of humanity, and Russia and Ukraine in particular, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary," wrote Pope Francis. All Bishops and Priests have been asked to participate in this Consecration at Masses this Friday.
Holy Family Parish has Masses scheduled for 9 AM at Our Lady of Joy Church, Noon at St. Irenaeus Church.
Holy Family Parish will offer a special Mass THIS FRIDAY, March 25 at 7 PM at St. John the Baptist Church, following Stations of the Cross at 6 PM and Rosary at 6:30 PM. All are welcome to attend. A basket will be available for offerings for refugee and peace efforts for Ukrainians at this Mass. Liturgical ministers are requested through the MSP system for those willing to assist with this Mass.
